Privacy
What I collect, and what I do with it.
This site sets no cookies, runs no tracking, and shows no advertising. The only personal information it holds is what you type into the contact form. Everything below describes what actually happens, not what is customary to say.
Who this is
StrikeMethod is the buy-side domain acquisition practice of Chris Zuiker, based in Bentonville, Arkansas. Questions about anything on this page go to chris@strikemethod.com or 1-479-685-3880.
What the contact form collects
Only the fields you fill in:
- Name and work email — required, so I can reply
- Company — optional
- The domain you want — optional
- Range under consideration — optional
- Anything I should know — optional free text
Two hidden fields travel with the form: a timestamp, and an empty decoy field that automated spam tends to fill in. Neither identifies you.
What happens to it
A submission is emailed to me and written to a log file on the server that is not reachable from the web. That is the whole journey. It is not added to a mailing list, not fed to an advertising platform, and not shared with anyone.
Your inquiry is confidential. That matters more here than on most sites — knowing which company wants which domain is commercially sensitive information, and disclosing it would damage the position I am hired to protect. I do not reveal your identity or your interest to a domain owner, or to anyone else, without your instruction.
How long it is kept
Inquiries are retained for as long as there is a live conversation, and then for up to 24 months afterwards — acquisition timing often changes and a prospect who was not ready last year frequently is this year. After that they are deleted.
You can ask for yours to be deleted sooner at any time. See Your choices below.
What this site does not do
- No cookies. None. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
- No analytics or tracking pixels. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session recording.
- No advertising, and no data sold, rented, or shared with data brokers.
- No profiling or automated decision-making about you.
- No accounts, no passwords, no payment details collected on this site.
Third parties that see something
Being straightforward about this, because most policies are not:
- Google Fonts. Typefaces load from Google's servers, so your browser's IP address reaches Google when a page loads. Nothing else is sent, and it is not used to identify you here.
- DreamHost hosts the site. Their standard server logs record IP addresses, timestamps, and requested pages, as every web server does.
- Fastmail carries the email, so a submitted inquiry passes through and is stored in my mailbox.
- Calendly — only if you click the scheduling link. Booking a call means giving Calendly your details under their policy, not this one.
Links to LinkedIn, YouTube, X, and other sites load nothing unless you click them. Those services have their own policies.
Spam filtering and IP addresses
To keep automated spam out, the form limits how many messages can arrive from one internet connection per hour. Doing that requires recognising a repeat sender, so the address is converted into an irreversible fingerprint and only the fingerprint is stored. Your raw IP address is never written to the form's own records.
Submissions caught by the spam filters are logged with the reason, so that a genuine message wrongly caught can be found and recovered rather than lost silently.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Stored inquiries sit outside the public web directory with owner-only file permissions. There is no database, no login, and no administrative interface to compromise.
No system is perfectly secure, and I will not pretend otherwise. What I can say is that the amount of personal data held here is deliberately small, because the smallest safe amount is the amount not collected.
Your choices
Email chris@strikemethod.com and I will action any of the following, normally within a few days:
- See what I hold about you
- Correct anything wrong
- Delete it entirely
- Get a copy in a portable format
If you are in the UK, EU, California, or anywhere else with statutory data rights, treat the above as the way to exercise them. I do not require you to prove residency first.
Children
This is a business-to-business service. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and I do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below changes with it. Material changes affecting information already submitted will be communicated directly rather than quietly edited in.
